Training
GP's In Training
Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice. Our GP registrar will have had 2-4 years of experience as a qualified hospital doctor working in various specialities. They consult patients on their own, under the mentorship of our trainers. Occasionally we ask permission to video a consultation. You will always be asked in advance and are given the option not to take part, and this will not affect your care in any way. No recording will be taken without your consent and the camera will be switched off on request. These videos are used only for educational purposes with the doctor doing the consultation and are destroyed after use.
We currently have 3 GP Registrars:
- Dr Daniel Even (M)
- Dr Ahmed Alboksmaty (M)
- Dr Anita Benson (F)
Medical Students
Medical students are sometimes attached to the practice for 2 – 3 weeks as part of their training. They are supervised by one of our GPs during general sessions and we also book structured clinics where we invite patients with specific conditions to attend as part of their training.
A receptionist will always ask your consent prior to making the booking so if you do not wish a student to be present during your consultation, please inform them.
Student Nurses
We occasionally have student nurses sitting in with our nurse practitioners, a receptionsist will always inform you if a student will be present. If you wish for them to be present please let us know.
Work Experience
We occasionally may have work experience sitting in with reception, doctors and nurses. If you do not wish for them to be present in your consultation pease let a member of staff know.
