Practice Closures
Every month there is an afternoon closure of practices in Cambridge, which is organised by the Integrated Care Board to allow for staff training. There will be extra 111 services available at these times, to cover GP care in the area. The forthcoming dates for early closure are:
Wednesday 22nd May
Tuesday 18th of June
New practice information as of February 2024
Our Accurx messaging service is now stopping at 3pm.
A skilled clinician will aim to respond within 2 hours.
Due to overwhelming demand on appointments please try to be flexible when you are offered a time slot. Work places should be accommodating for GP appointments; If we feel that you need to be seen in person this is usually a clinical decision so avoid changing it to a telephone call.
Patient Triage - Accrux Messaging Service
We are experiencing technical issues with our accrux messaging service, as a result there may be a slight delay in the practice responding to you. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
You can call and speak to our Reception Team if you have issues submitting a request.
Thank you for your patience.

Measles Outbreak
Measles cases are rising. Whilst the increase in measles cases has been seen mostly in the West Midlands so far, we know that the infection can spread quickly. That's why it’s important to know the symptoms of measles, what to do when you or your child might have measles, and how you can get protected against measles with a Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination course. You can find out more about measles here.
Measles is an infection that spreads very easily and can cause serious problems in some people. Measles can be prevented with the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination – a vaccine that’s available for free on the NHS. The MMR vaccine can prevent you from getting measles. All children in the UK are offered two doses of the MMR vaccination by the NHS as standard. But you can also have your MMR vaccines at an older age if you haven’t had them in the past.
If you haven’t had your MMR vaccinations or are unsure, please contact our Reception team for a vaccination appointment. Please be aware all patients aged 5 to 19 attending school will need to contact the missed school vaccination service on 0300 555 5055. Alternatively, there are also a number of walk-in vaccination clinics running locally, no appointment needed. You can find out more about measles and local walk in vaccination clinics on your local NHS website.

This is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. This will be accessible via our website. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us. Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible.
We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.
